In this text, the author presents the functioning of the Commune Committee of the Polish United Workers’ Party in Brudzeń Duży, a commune lying near Płock, in the years 1972—1986. It is mainly the minutes of meetings of the commune party authorities, which were analyzed, paying special attention to their reaction towards the challenge of daily life in the period before — during - and after the political breakthrough in 1981. Early childhood education and care for Tibetan children in the People's Republic of China: Left behind or led from behind?

Early Childhood Education and Care provision has been expanded in the People’s Republic of China over the last decades. For this expansion to harmonize with young children’s rights, special measures should ensure that the system of provision guarantees the participation and inclusion of the most vulnerable citizens. With this as a focus, this article reviews and discusses the state of Early Childhood Education and Care provision for young children of Tibetan ethnicity in People’s Republic of China. The available literature and ongoing measures and plans are explored around this topic in order to identify the main issues.

The main subject of this thesis is a case study of Polish cinematographic production under the communist period in the 1970's called TOR (Kieslowski, Zanussi, Rozewicz). This research points out the author-filmmaker's creative autonomy confronted to the Cultural Policy upheavals which have determined film production in a non - democratic country : Polish People's Republic in the 1970s. In 1958 the court in Toruń sentenced Adam Czekalski, the national correspondent of the daily Narodowiec published in Lens in France to 3 years of prison. Czekalski was probably the first person tried after October 1956 for maintaining contacts with an emigration magazine and publishing articles abroad. He was convicted for a similar “crime” some years earlier. Today he is unknown and nearly forgotten, despite being a person of strong character. Ailing, he died in prison, a month after being arrested. He was only 57.

Marginal Notes of a Translation The aim of this paper is to present some relevant themes of Language Policy and Planning in the People’s Republic of China focusing on two key terms: fangyan (often translated as ‘dialects’) and ‘language harmony’ (yuyan hexie ). Both of them do not belong to the western linguistic tradi- tion and are therefore of particular interest. The paper examines official texts from the last ten years.

This Master thesis shows the relations between Belarus and China in comparison to the relations between Poland and China. In the first chapter the author describes the political and economic situation in the three countries. The second chapter states about the political relations between Poland – the People’s Republic of China, Belarus and China, the New Silk Road and 16+1 formats. The third chapter covers the topic of the economic relations between the states. In the chapter no. 4 the author writes about the military cooperation issues. The last chapter shows the future plans and recommendations for the further cooperation.
